The 2025 Côte Saint-Luc Golf Classic set for August 5 at Meadowbrook
June 11, 2025
The 2025 Côte Saint-Luc Golf Classic will take place on Tuesday, August 5 at Meadowbrook. In the event of rain, it will be held on August 12.
This event, in partnership with the CSL Men’s Club, has been held for the past 44 summers. The organizing committee consists of Councillors Mike Cohen, Lior Azerad and Dida Berku, Norm Goldfield from the Men’s Club, as well as Cornelia Ziga, Irene Lahaie and Moe Giobbi from the Parks and Recreation Department.
Each Tuesday during the summer, Men’s Club members gather to play nine holes of golf. On this occasion, the “invitation” will be extended to elected officials, representatives from the business community and others interested in playing.
Officials sponsors will be Marc Ezerzer and Hagai Brenner from KW Prestige Real Estate and Philippe Mamane, a wealth management advisor at Assante Wealth Management. Proceeds from the event will go to the Parks and Recreation Bursary Fund, which assists parents with financial difficulties and children’s with special needs in registering for specific programs they might otherwise not be able to afford.
The team from Pierre Brunet’s McDonald’s franchise at the Côte St. Luc Shopping Centre will welcome golfers as they get set to tee off with coffee and danishes. There will be trophies up for grabs for the longest drive and closest to the pin (male and female categories). Peter Lipari, the owner of the IGA grocery store at the Côte St. Luc Shopping Centre and a strong supporter of community initiatives, will be the special honoree.
The price to register is $30, which also includes an invitation for two to attend a special banquet on September 29 at the Aquatic and Community Centre for the presentation of the Awards and the cheque unveiling for the bursary fund. This event will be held in conjunction with the annual Maison Fleuries celebration.
Registration for individuals or foursomes began on Wednesday, June 11 at the ACC. It should be noted that in the event of a rain date, golfers who cannot make it will be able to request a refund.
