Justin Trudeau and kids to settle into Côte Saint-Luc home

Justin Trudeau and his son Hadrien visit a house in Côte Saint-Luc.

More than   two  decades ago the City of  Côte Saint-Luc renamed Centennial Park after Pierre Elliott Trudeau, after the former Prime Minister of Canada had passed away.

This obviously touched his son Justin, who just stepped down as our leader.  He has been to our community often, speaking at schools and visiting the park named after his late dad.

Separated from his wife Sophie Grégoire, Justin has custody of their three children. He has rented a home in Ottawa, but told the media  that he wants to settle in Montreal.

We can now tell you that Justin has purchased a home on Ilan Ramon Crescent, in my electoral district. He and the kids will move there in August.  Last weekend he was in town to meet with real estate agent Heidi Witt to close the sale.

I asked Mayor Mitchell Brownstein what he had to say about this development. "To have the former Prime Minister of Canada choose our community to live in is such an honor,"  he said.

Trudeau had apparently also been looking for homes in Hampstead. But when Mayor Jeremy Levi got wind of this he issued an executive order that no such transactions can take place with anyone who was ever elected for the Federal Liberal Party.

So yes folks, April Fool's and Justin Trudeau could not find Côte Saint-Luc or his former Papineau riding if we gave him a map to do so.
